Welcome to the new version of Lifestyle150, a lifestyle blog covering my favorite topics: travel, health, stories, and the desire to finally get my children’s books published.
Hi, I’m Taunja. My husband Erick started Lifestyle150 last year with the intention to share what we have learned about current health concerns such as dementia, his own battle with Grave’s disease, other thyroid diseases, and the changes we made to our lifestyle to offset disease and decreased lifespan. That’s a mouthful, I know, sorry. Our name stems from our desire and belief that we can live to 150 years. You can read more about the start of the blog here.
I still have the same intentions, don’t worry! I’m just adding more content. After 48 years on this planet and a less than typical approach to life on it, I thought it was time to share some of what I’ve learned with the rest of the world. I read great blogs all the time and I think “I have a great story about something similar” or “I can add to that.” Some days my posts will be in depth research about a health topic while other days I will tell a funny travel story and what I learned from it. On occasion I’ll add a piece about my Personal Journey towards my 2 GOALS:
- Live to 150 years old
- Write and publish children’s books
I’m so focused on these goals that I made the difficult decision to monetize the site in the hopes that one day I don’t have to keep a day job and can give 100% of my efforts to educating others and writing books. It wasn’t an easy decision. Erick and I had agreed we wanted to maintain the purity of a scholarly blog when we started last year. Of course, times change and with my new goals for the site, it made sense to me to make that change. I will promote products I believe in. I will show ads and affiliates. You have no obligation to click on any of the links or purchase any of the products. If you find something you like, great! If not, I’m just happy to have you on the site reading what I write, interacting and reaching out anytime.
I’m learning as I go and I will make mistakes. I appreciate constructive feedback, corrections, recommendations, etc. I look forward to meeting my followers and learning about their stories and lifestyles. Thank you for joining me on this journey!
